A stolen police gun was used to kill 5-year-old Ditebogo Phalane Junior, who was gunned down when three men hijacked his father, outside their home in Soshanguve, North of Pretoria, in May last year.
The weapon was allegedly stolen from a police officer in 2023. The startling details were revealed by an investigating officer, who testified in the Pretoria North Magistrate’s Court. 36-year-old Elia Maseko’s bail application has been postponed to the 28th and 29th of May.
