The East London community in the Eastern Cape, including students and religious leaders, have hailed the Department of Home Affairs for effecting an arrest on televangelist Timothy Omotoso in the City’s CBD today. Omotoso was arrested by the Department’s Immigration Inspectorate following the rejection of his application by the Home Affairs Minister to overturn the department’s decision to declare him a prohibited person in the country.
