The gold price set yet another all-time high recorded, trading just shy of 3 500 dollars an ounce. During Asian trading hours, gold hit 3 495 dollars an ounce. It has since retreated somewhat, although some in the market are of the view that it could easily breach the 3 500 dollar mark in the coming days and weeks.
