The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Transport has suspended two of the 30 contractors who have stalled projects such as roads, bridges and other infrastructure in the province. These delays have cost the province R4.6 billion. The department says it is now intervening to recoup the money and to ensure that there is accountability and efficiency.
