ANC Secretary-General Fikile Mbalula says Tripartite Alliance members will convene their much-anticipated Political Council soon. The Political Council is the strategic leadership organ of the ANC-led Alliance. It works on a consensus-seeking consultation model. The Council is responsible for developing and giving collective leadership to the Alliance’s shared strategy of struggle, transformation, and development, also known as the national democratic revolution.
